Many people suffer from dental fear and anxiety, but that doesn’t mean that your oral health should have to take a backseat. In addition to our calm, soothing office environment, we also provide relaxing sedation options to help you feel at ease while you’re getting the dental treatment you need.Contact Us
For patients with mild to moderate dental anxiety, kids who have trouble sitting still, and patients with a strong gag reflex, nitrous oxide is a great sedation option. Nitrous oxide is a sweet-smelling gas that is administered through a soft mask placed over the nose. Nitrous oxide puts patients into a state of giddy euphoria, which is why it has been coined, “laughing gas”. After treatment is complete, the mask is removed and patients only have to take a few breaths of fresh air to reverse the effects.
IV sedation is for patients undergoing more complex dental procedures. While patients will still be conscious during the procedure, it’s most likely that they will experience amnesia and not remember the procedure at all.
We use a dental anesthesiologist with extensive dental training for administering IV sedation and we follow the strictest protocol when it comes to this sedation method. Our team is committed to your comfort and safety.
